Laurel Ridge Software Solutions
We started Laurel Ridge because we saw too many Connecticut businesses paying for software that didn't fit — bloated WordPress sites that load slowly, off-the-shelf tools that almost work, and integrations held together with copy-paste. After a decade building enterprise web applications and cloud infrastructure, we decided to bring that same engineering rigor to small and medium businesses at prices that make sense.
We're a small team and we like it that way. When you work with us, you talk directly to the people building your system — no project managers relaying messages, no offshore handoffs. We serve businesses across Connecticut, and we're happy to meet in person anywhere in the state.
Today we build five things: fast, hand-coded websites that rank well on Google; custom software for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools; workflow automations that eliminate repetitive manual tasks; integrations that connect your existing software stack; and AI solutions — from internal document processing to customer-facing assistants — that run on your data, on your servers or ours.

We start with a conversation about your business — what's working, what's not, and where you're losing time or money. For websites, we send a short questionnaire. For software and automation projects, we do a deeper scoping session.

Proposal & Design
We put together a clear proposal with scope, timeline, and pricing. For websites, you'll see a design mockup before we write a line of code. For software projects, we define the deliverables and milestones up front.

Build
We develop your solution with regular check-ins so nothing is a surprise. You'll see working demos along the way, not just a finished product at the end.

Launch & Support
We deploy, walk you through everything, and make sure it works in the real world. After launch, we're still here — whether that's a monthly retainer, on-call support, or just answering questions.

It's simple: you pay $200 monthly with a 12 month commitment. You can cancel anytime after the 12 months, though you wouldn't keep the site. We handle everything from hosting to updates to edits. It's a hassle-free way to get a professional website without a large upfront cost or ongoing maintenance headaches.

The subscription is month-to-month after the initial commitment period. You can continue using the service without any long-term contracts. With a subscription it takes two to three years including hosting and ancillary fees to make what we would have charged upfront, so we do hope clients see the value we bring and stay with us over the long term.

If cancelling after the subscription period is over, there is no fee. We will simply transfer your domain back and stop billing you. If cancelling before the 12 months are over, you will owe the full cost of what the website would have costed upfront: $3500 minus what you have already paid in subscription fees. Our business model relies on long-term relationships with clients, so we hope you see the value in staying with us. The stability our relationships provides allows us to offer the subscription model in the first place.

Unfortunately not. There is a lot of upfront work to build and configure a store, and its listings so it is not feasible for us to offer a subscription model for that.

Add-on fees are billed once at the beginning of the contract. You will not pay a recurring charge for these one-time work items.

Website maintenance is included in the subscription fee. We monitor your site for issues, apply updates, and make minor changes as needed. If you require significant changes or additions, those may incur additional fees.

Late payments may incur a $25 fee after 7 days from when the invoice was issued, and continued late payments could result in suspension of services until your account is brought current. We will always communicate with you if there are any payment issues and work with you to find a solution—we genuinely want to be flexible and understanding when life gets complicated. However, if invoices remain unpaid for months without any communication from you, we may need to consider the contract cancelled and charge the full website price of $3500 minus what you've already paid in subscription fees. We never want it to reach that point, so please just reach out if you're facing difficulties—we're here to help, not create problems.

You will own your domain name. We can help you register it if you haven't already done so, and also manage it on your behalf if you wish. But if you cancel for any reason, we will promptly transfer the domain to you. We will not hold your business hostage.

We use HTML, CSS, and minimal JavaScript — no WordPress, no page builders, no databases to exploit. Your site is a set of static files served from Cloudflare's global network, which means fast load times and a minimal attack surface.

Building from scratch lets us optimize everything — performance, styling, security, and SEO. Page builders add layers of code your site doesn't need, which slows it down and increases the attack surface. Our static sites have no databases, no plugins to update, and no admin panels to breach.

We follow best practices for SEO, including optimizing site speed, mobile responsiveness, and on-page content. Our websites are built with clean, semantic HTML to ensure they are easily crawlable by search engines.

You can request changes by emailing us with the details of your request. We will handle everything from there within a timeframe dependent on the scope of your request.

Essentially, we aim to free up human resources and/or reduce operational costs. We work with you to identify areas where automation could have the most impact on your business. This could include automating customer communications, streamlining internal processes, or integrating different software tools to work together more effectively. We do not engage in high pressure sales tactics, if we cannot identify a clear benefit to your business, we will tell you so. We are not interested in selling you something you do not need.
